Brian P. Tierney is a nationally recognized expert in marketing communications and the media as well as an accomplished entrepreneur.

Presently, Mr. Tierney is the Chief Executive Officer of Realtime Media, a leader in digitally driven consumer acquisition and engagement. Realtime clients include CNN, AOL, L’Oreal USA, Comcast and the New York Times. He also leads Realtime’s parent company, Brian Communications.

Mr. Tierney was Publisher of the Philadelphia Inquirer and Chief Executive Officer of the Philadelphia Daily News, which was awarded the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Journalism. The combined website, Philly.com, was ranked by Nielsen as the fastest growing newsite in the world from March 2009-­‐2010.

Mr. Tierney built several successful advertising/public relations/digital agencies including Tierney Communications, which had billings of $270 million when it was sold to the Interpublic Group (NYSE:IPG). Mr. Tierney’s clients included Verizon (for whom his agency created the award winning James Earl Jones campaigns), the University of Pennsylvania, Marriott Hotels, the Walt Disney Company, Deloitte Consulting, Exelon, and Independence Blue Cross.

Mr. Tierney has served as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and lectures frequently at Columbia University and the University of Michigan among others. He has presented at the Milken Institute Global Conference and appeared on the BBC, CNBC, CBS, ABC and FOX.

His community and charitable service has been recognized by organizations including the March of Dimes, The National Adoption Center, City Year, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Boy Scouts. He has received numerous industry-­‐related honors as well. He served as National Chairman of the Republican National Committee’s Catholic Task Force in 2000. Mr. Tierney was named a Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great by his holiness Pope John Paul II.

Mr. Tierney serves on the Board of NutriSystem (NASDAQ: NTRI), Republic First Bank (NASDAQ:FRBK) as well as several private companies and non-­‐profit organizations.

Mr. Tierney received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law and a Doctor of Humane letters from Cabrini College. He is married with two children.
